Effective March 28, 2022 the policy has been rewritten to reflect changes in C.D.C. recommendations.

Outdoor events continue to be acceptable without U.S.G.L. dispensation under the following conditions:

For local bodies in counties of LOW RISK status per the CDC: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/covid-by-county.html

For local bodies in counties of MEDIUM RISK status:

  • Masks use--local master (or Chapter leaders for Chapter events) may select one of the following options:

    1. F.V.P. are not required to wear a mask. All others are required to wear a mask.

    2. All persons are required to wear a mask.

  • Socially distanced (6+’ between Stay-At-Home units*), at the discretion of the local master

  1. F.V.P. are not required to maintain distance, all others are required to maintain distance.

  2. All persons are required to social distance.

For local bodies in counties of HIGH RISK status:

  • Unvaccinated persons are required to wear a mask.

  • F.V.P. are required to wear a mask in crowded areas (crowds, festival booths, close conversations, etc.)

  • F.V.P. can optionally remove masks in open spaces where distancing is possible. (6+ feet)



NOTE: When an O.T.O. body is participating in an event run by another organization, those participating under the auspices of O.T.O. must adhere to the above.

*”Stay At Home” is generally defined as people who live in the same home and stay at home as much as possible who only leave for work and essential activities and are avoiding group/indoor gatherings. See your local regulations for definitions specific to your state/county.
